Single Flute Straights

Single fluted Tungsten Carbide straight cutter for fast free cutting.

• Single flutes should be chosen where speed and clearance rates are more important than the finish.
• Depth of cut should not exceed cutter diameter.

Two Flute Straight

Suitable for a wide range of applications such as engraving, grooving, rebating and shallow mortising.

• Use on softwoods, hardwoods, MDF, plywood and chipboard.
• All cutters have a bottom cut feature.

For grooves and trenches

Template thickness should be 5mm thicker than cut length of cutter.

• Can be used to rout both tenons and housings.

Hinge recess

Two flute TC cutter giving good chip clearance.

• Ideal for shallow lateral routing cuts such as recessing hinges.
• Corners will require final trimming square with a hand chisel or a corner chisel.

Pocket Cutters

A two flute cutters with extra long shanks.

• Deep grooving, rebating and mortising.
• Useful for template work when thickness of template restricts depth.
• Extra care must be taken to avoid breakage.
• Take more passes than usual, and only cut up to half the diameter of the cutter in one pass.
• This applies to cutters under 3/8 inch diameter.

Self Guided Bevel Trimmers

This is bearing guided and gives a smooth bevel finish for laminates and other materials.

• Bearing follows the board beneath.

Self Guided Trimmers

Used for trimming plastic or plywood overlays.

• Also for copy profiling with a template.

Strip recessers

Recessing cutter for producing double rebates.

• For producing recesses with a lower rebate.
• Designed to accept library/bookcase strip. Ref. C231 is specifically designed for Tonk Strip.

Template/Profilers

Shank mounted bearing profilers are ideal for template guidance.

• Use for rebating and trimming edges only.
• Extra care must be taken to avoid cutter breakage.

Bearing Guided Round Over & Ovolo

Self-guiding cutters for rounding over edges do not require a side fence.

• They are supplied with two bearings.
• Use the larger bearing for a round-over.
• If the cutter is lowered, a top quirk can be produced.
• Bullnose mouldings can also be produced by taking a second pass from the opposite side of the workpiece.

Radius Cutters

These are ideal for engraving and decorative panel work.

• Made with Solid Tungsten Carbide inserts, with two flutes.

Self-Guided Radius Cutters

Ideally suited for cutting radiused edges at speed, as a side fence can be dispensed with.

• The guide bearing follows the vertical edge or template. Alternative bearing Ref. B127A creates a shallow radius.
