Slow spiral is sometimes preferred for drilling end grain in wood. Ideal for fast drilling operations in open grained material. Have a Solid Carbide ends, brazed in and ground to give maximum clearance. Have a 60 degree taper point and are recommended for hard or abrasive materials. These drills are not for use with routers and not suitable for masonry work.
