How to use an angle finder to cut mitres that aren’t 45 degrees

David Buckley

Scribing in a filler panel is easy, first of all use a uscribe jig and compass to mark out your scribe line, then using a jigsaw with a downwards cutting blade set at a 30 degree angle cut close to the line you marked previously, you want to be able to see the full line and around 1mm of waste material still left on your good piece, take your time and use a block plane to remove the last bit of waste, then use a piece of sandpaper to finish off, I've used this method for years and have perfect scribes every time!
